San Francisco

Here are a couple of pics from the Thanksgiving trip we took to San Francisco, when we went to see David, (our firstborn son.) (Ben was able to go with Pat and me.) This is a mural on the inside wall of Coit Tower, and the lower shot is a view of the same tower from Lombard St. just at the bottom of the winding S-curve section. (If you have seen Bullitt, starring Steve McQueen or a number of other San Francisco movies with car chases you have seen film of this section.) Coit Tower is built in the shape of a fireman's nozzle, because the lady who funded the project was saved from a fire as a child. It is a gives beautiful view of the city when seen from the top. David was kind enough to show us each section of the city, at least as much as was visible. This is one of many attractions in SF, and we do look forward to returning soon.

No pictures of you renacting the McQueen chase? Also re: feeding the 5000, how many fishes and loaves will you need. I know how many were used before.

No, I haven't even driven down that part of Lombard St. and when David drove it, he was quite a bit slower than Lt. Frank Bullitt. BTW, did you know that this character was based on Dave Toschi who was made famous for his work on the Zodiac killings? The Zodiac killings were also somewhat the basis for the Dirty Harry films of Clint Eastwood, but I digress. I wouldn't be able to stretch the loaves and fishes to any miraculous proportion, and I still haven't been able to walk on water, and for that matter, water-skiing is becoming more difficult with the passing of each nanoscecond. Maybe we can get Top Gun to reenact that McQueen scene!!
