State-Carolina Basketball
One can get a feel for the enthusiasm that State had in the game yesterday in viewing this pic of McCauley getting a little spirited. In the next one down, one can see Grant sailing past a couple of UNC defenders with what seems to be the greatest of ease. In the next pic one can get a feel for the lack of spirit that the UNC team had at least in this particular point in the game. Some are thinking that Coach Sidney Lowe may never take off that red blazer he wore at the game. And in the last shot one can sense Coach Williams' frustration when Tyler was called for a technical. All in all, it was a great game. I think the part I liked best was that in our Winston-Salem Journal there was an article saying that Coach Williams liked going to visit another team and taking their brownies away. This is his expression for getting a win on the road. While I am sad that Roy didn't get any brownies, I am happy to see the Pack upset the mighty Tar Heels.

Boo!!! We're still a better team! Go Heels!
Go Shannon, Bev was not happy either...sounds like 007 is trying to provoke some of his loyal UNC readers....careful Grasshopper.
I found myself actually cheering for Duke, so that the "anger that we're coming into the game off a loss factor" would be in Carolina's favor, but Duke also lost. I wonder how many times the teams have faced each other having both lost the previous game.
I was stunned and saddened by State's victory, but I'd rather lose to state than Duke, though the Duke game's going to be really tough.
And there are a lot of TarHeel fans who read, as the Paratrooper points out...
Shannon: You weren't better yesterday! And sorry to the old paratrooper who's daughter is an alumnus of UNC, but remember you have a son who did his GRADUATE work at NC State. And Dan, Dan, Dan: I understand that you are presently doing graduate work at NC State! Why wouldn't you pull for the Pack? If any of you are having a craving for some good brownies, you can go to the store and get the Ghirideli double chocolate mix! I recommend it highly.
