Eating in Pescadero
Our travel south ended in Pescadero where we ate supper--a place named Durante's. They are probably known for their seafood, but they really have quite a variety, (including burgers and fries.) I apologize for the lack of pics here, but I will try to paint a picture with words. It is a quaint little restaurant, and it seemed rather busy although we were fairly early for eating the evening meal. They have several dining areas, and we ate in the furthest one to the rear of the place. One several walls there were sailfish and other items prepared by a taxidermist. I ordered the blackened red snapper, which was seasoned quite heavily. (I suppose I am used to the slightly spicy catfish that I get at Cracker Barrel.) My lips endured a slight burn through dessert. Oh yes, dessert. David told us that Martha Stewart raved about the Olloliberry pie at Durante's. That is a cross between the Young berry and the Logan berry. So all in all it was a good place to eat supper.
