Chris Livingston for The New York Times
Walter Biernacki, 60, had a golf cart specially made to resemble a 1966 GT candy-apple-red Mustang. It cost $10,000 to assemble. The above shot and caption, courtesy of the NY Times, yesterday (April 9) shows what many seniors are doing in some senior communities to get around. They can use it on the golf course or on the street, and even on the sidewalk. Who needs a hybrid? I don't think it will work well on the super highways, though.

Gonna save all my money (turnin' it on, blowin' it out) and buy a GTO (turnin' it on,
blowin' it out)
Get a helmet and a roll bar (turnin' it on, blowin' it out) and I'll be ready to go
(turnin'
it on, blowin' it out)
Take it out to Pomona (turnin' it on, blowin' it out) and let 'em know (turnin' it on,
blowin' it out), yeah, yeah
That I'm the coolest thing around
Little buddy, gonna shut you down
When I turn it on, wind it up, blow it out GTO
Did you ever really get a GTO, Mr. Duke?
still waiting, thinking about a Ferrari now; wonder if they make golf carts?
Jduke did own an early 70's Pontiac LeMens...It was a LeMans put the guy who painted it turned the "a" upside down when he put the name plate back on it.
68 LeMens, and in car painting as with many other things, you get what you pay for...........
That was a pretty car, although not very reliable. Paid $800, drove it 50,000 miles, got $750 on it in a trade; not bad
Now if I could just turn a Ferrari 355 like that I could convince Terri it is an "economy" car
That's right, its an investment! It could be a collector's item and even appreciate in value, and you and Terri can both appreciate that.
mini golf is back up...
hey john, great photos on these past few posts!
whats up with the little guy in the cannon?? cant wait for the new movie to come out.
Kev,
I have no idea about the little guy in the cannon. Obviously I haven't seen the movie yet, and I s'pose I will have to wait until then. Glad you like my shots.
Dan,
Thanks for letting me know about minigolf, but I spend more diversion time on Wii. I will have to try it again though.
