Maters 101
Well, let's see how much you guys know about maters. One of these is a German Johnson and the other is a beefsteak. Who can tell the difference? Pat seems to prefer the beefsteak. How 'bout y'all?

The name is Bond, James Bond. No, really I am John Woodward, but I do admire the character who is sometimes shaken, but not stirred.

The tomato on the right is the German Johnson or German pink as sometimes referred. The one on the left is the beefsteak, indicated by its color and larger size.
I do believe this man knows maters. Good work West.
I'll guess the BS on the left and the GJ on the right. Also, I would like to order the GJ sliced on white bread with Duke's mayo, slightly peppered, and a glass of sweet T
John, so will you be in Kernersville for lunch today? We can fix you up. I left the GJ at the house, and took the BS to work to make a BLT. So you can stop by the house and Pat will fix you up. Oh, and btw, we don't have any Duke's, we use an off brand, but we have plenty of coarse-ground pepper and sweet T. (And that was real astute guessing, since West had already answered and I told him he was correct.)
Might I heartily recommend a brand change to Duke's? The taste is so much better! I'll even trade you a jar for one of those maters..........
Well, John, have you tried Kraft Mayo with olive oil? (Reduced fat of course.) That is what we use. We honestly have not tried Duke's. I might check with the old paratrooper to see if he is sold on Duke's as well. It could be that its all about the name...
I like olive oil and saw that advertised but I haven't tried it yet. Perhaps we can trade a jar? Marketing research shows that mayonaise loyalty is high on the list of most consumers, as a rule people do not change brands. No, it's not the name, just really rich in taste
Well, I just might try it sometime. With a name like DUKE'S, its got to be good.
I don't know which is which, but they both look tasty to me!!
