More Beach Pics
Here are some more pics of our time at the beach. In this set we have a very artsy arrangement of three shots of Kenan, the 18-month old, with "bookends" on either side showings some nicknacks which were hanging on the wall. Who can tell us what kind of sailboat that is in the top pic? I'm betting one of the Riley boys will be the first with the correct answer.

Great shots from the beach but you should know better than to feed those nasty seagulls. OK, Terri gets mad at me when I clean fish in the backyard I'll leave a few pieces on the garage roof for them...............
As for the sailboat, she has a gaff rig so I'm going to guess a Sunfish. Or a schooner, take your pick, might be a little large for a sunfish
Looks like a great time was had at the beach, and that you used sun protection effectively
Come to see us, and bring some maters
The correct complete name of the vessel in question is a gaff rigged schooner. Yes, it is somewhat larger than a Sunfish, but not as much fun to sail.
Thanks to both of you skippers for the answer. I would not have known it was a schooner, but I did have a sneaking suspicion that it was not a Sunfish. Yes John, about the sun protection, I used an SPF 70 most of the time, as well as shirt and hat.
The vessel appears to be on port tack which means that a sunfish on starbord tack will have right of way. Of course the schooner may call out "bigger boat" and then the sunfish will have a command decision to make.
That is very good intel to have should that occasion ever arise. I would probably be in the Sunfish, so I would most likely have that command decision to make.
