Perfect Sunflower

Is this not the most perfect sunflower that you have ever seen? The stem on this plant is not very long at all, but I would have to say that is beauuuuuu-ti-ful. Now remember, we did not plants these flowers. Technically, the birds did. See we feed the birds birdseed, and a great deal of that seed is sunflower seeds. Some of the birds get sloppy and knock some of the good seed out of the feeder and onto the ground. These sunflowers all came up from those spilled seeds. Musta landed on good soil. (Remember the parable of the sower. Actually, it is commonly referred to as the parable of the sower, but really it ought to be named the parable of the different soils.) We are hoping that eventually we will be able to produce enough sunflower to feed the birds and not have to buy any more from Wal-mart.
