Last Grass Post for a while anyway

We had another inch or so of rain in about 2 days, and it shows on our new grass around the mailbox. I promise this will be the last post about grass--at least for a while. The one problem we now have is the difference in the ground height where I put down sod, and where I planted the patch. If anyone has a solution other than trampling down the sod after a good rain, please let me know.
