American Idol
Well, it seems obvious that David Archuleta is expected to win the American Idol final in tonight's show. Let me go out on a limb here and say that I think he should win. I was planning to vote a couple weeks ago in this final vote, but I found out a few things about what happens to the guy that wins. He is under contract with American Idol for a full year, and cannot make a record to make money on it until that time is up. And then too, if Little David wins, he might be distracted from finishing high school, and I really think he should do that. So it doesn't matter as much to me anymore which David wins. I think both David Archuleta and David Cook will do well with singing careers. What do you guys think?

OK, so I was wrong. I am truly happy for both Davids. It will be better for David A. in that he can finish high school with less distraction, and he can go out and make records right away if he chooses. David Cook is truly one talented individual. He really seems more comfortable on stage than his rival. This was really a great season in my opinion.
Good thing you did not bet the farm on the decision.
I make it a practice to bet only on sure things. I really would have thought this was a sure thing, but like you say...
