CBS Sunday Morning

There is a show I am in the habit of TiVoing every Sunday AM, and if you missed this particular show, you can watch here.
Click on the shot with the caption that reads, "MS Patient Soars New Heights." You can hear about a lady named Wendy Booker who plans to climb the highest peak on each of the seven continents. And she has MS!! She has to train much longer than regular healthy folk who want to do something similar. So far, she has climbed:
1. Mt. McKinley in Alaska at 20,320 ft.
2. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania at 19,340 ft.
3. Elbrus in Russia at 18,510 ft.
4. Aconcaugua in Argentina at 22,835 ft.
and next she is heading to Antarctica to climb Vincent.
She was diagnosed with MS 10 years ago at age 44. She has a partially numb left side.
So when Monday morning rolls around, and you don't feel like getting up to go to work, just remember Wendy. She could try to take life a little easier. But she works hard to achieve her goal. Most of us, of course have to work to support our families and we couldn't do what she is doing. Just remember Wendy the next time you feel like calling in sick to skip work.
