Pansies at our Front Door

I don't want anyone to think that I am talking about them when I mention the pansies at our front door of the plant, so I will tell you that it is a plant that I am speaking of. I can't get over how beautiful these flowers have stayed for such a long time.Labels: Flowers
Giant flower
There is a giant flower in Washington, DC in the National Botanic Gardens and I understand that it really stinks. It is something to see if you can stand the smell, though. It is Amorphallus titanum from the Arum family. You can check on the video on Yahoo! of the one in DC. Most of these grow to 5 feet and some get to 12 feet tall. One guy described the smell as a port-a-john that hadn't been cleaned in a while.Labels: Flowers
What a difference a day makes, deja vu

Whenever you see something that you want to capture with your camera, don't put it off. Go ahead and seize the moment. The two pics at the top were taken yesterday, and the bottom one today. I thought the pretty yellow and blue flowers would stick around for several more days. However, I ride by today and see these men digging them up and putting out new flowers. I will keep you guys posted.Labels: Flowers
