Two Blogs, Now Three on One Topic

Two of the blogs I read are listed below and today they both just happen to have the same topic, the new movie, The Golden Compass, starring Nicole Kidman and Daniel Craig. Today I won't bother to quote either one, but I will provide the links for you to read them in their entirety.

Dr. Mohler had the priviledge of an advanced viewing and has read all 3 books of His Dark Materials. Let me just give you a hint that neither blog is supporting the theme presented in the flick.

The Brave One

Jodie Foster has a new movie coming out today called, The Brave One. From the trailers, it seems that this could be a female Death Wish, in that some thugs beat up the main character and murder loved ones and then the main character goes out and buys a gun--for protection of course. Then she becomes somewhat of a vigilante. It is said in one trailer that she may be becoming the very thing that she is trying to stop. Movies like this draw me in because you want to see the good guy win. The problem is that it gets confusing as to who the good "guy" is.

Premonition

I saw the movie, Premonition, starring Sandra Bullock over the weekend. I thought it may have been related to Lake House, and if it was I would not have cared too much for it. But I digress. This is not a sequel or a remake, at least as far as I can tell. I would recommend this, but I can't tell you too much without verging on spoiling. It does make you wonder as most movies dealing with this subject do, can you change the outcome by intervening? Again, I can't say too much more so I will leave you with some pics.
