Trippin' 1000

Finally my blog has tripped 1000! This is a big deal for me, as I seem to be running behind some others that I have been reading. I watched Million Dollar Baby last night. It didn't turn out like I had expected or hoped. I won't say any more so that I won't spoil it for those of you who would like to see it. Here is a shot of Maggie fighting that German girl who fights dirty. I won't say any more. L8r.

Clint Eastwood movies view the world through a very dark lens. He's really good, but depressing. I did really like Mystic River, but that's mainly because I loved the book.

Congrats on the 1000th. Did that visitor get a special prize?

That visitor was your truly. So I suppose I should give myself a prize. Hey Dan, thanks for the great idea. I really like the older Clint movies, like the spaghetti westerns and the Dirty Harry flicks. Those had some memorable lines that many quoted for a long time. You remember, "Go ahead, make my day!" I have seen most all of the ones he has starred in or directed. This one just didn't end right. And the DVD didn't give us an alternate ending like some do! Oh well, let's hope the next ends right.

What was Clint's character's name on Rawhide?

The fact that you were speaking to Alex means that you already had the answer, and were giving the question to the answer, Rowdy Yates.

What was Rowdy Yates job?

Rowdy was assistant trail boss reporting to Gil Favor, played by Eric Fleming.

I thought he was "Ramrod"..which would be the Asst Trail Boss. But if we are going to talk "cowboy talk", I'll stick w/my answer

I watched "Kelly's Heroes" this PM and did you know the scene where three of them approach a Nazi Tiger (tank) they are playing music very similar to some of those spaghetti westerns?

Enjoy your prize...

You guys definitely know your Clint Eastwood better than I...

Did you like unforgiven?

Unforgiven was not one of my favorites. I just read a review on imdb.com that said Clint wanted to bury the western with this one. I don't want to see that, do you?
