More Cars

OK, so I didn't get a round tuit last night, but I am getting a round tuit today. Here are a few more pics of cars that were at Fire Mountain on Saturday. The white 65 Comet Caliente reminds me of the red one my brother and I got to drive for a short while in high school. But hey, how 'bout those 30s Studebakers?

Used to go to the Kinston NC dragstrip and watch Don Nicholson in the Comet race Ronnie Sox in the Plymouth. Great racing! Also had one of those 65 Chevys, big engine, go fast!

The most unusual color in the show was the lilac-colored 60s Chevy Impala. I talked with the owner briefly, and he told me that he originally had a small block engine in it, but it looked so puny that he later put the 454 in.

is the first one a Packard? Yeah, that Comet looks hot, look better in red. I'm in Cleveland this week and saw a orange Marauder with a black top on the way up......very nice, even if it was a ford

No, Duke, its a Studebaker. If you look at the 2nd pic, and click on it, you can read the name on the grill, right below the hood ornament.
