DC TRIP

We made it to DC and we were able to see the Evening Parade that the Marines perform on Friday nights in the summer. And it was a very impressive show!

We couldn't take any flash photos 'cause it might cause someone to have an accident in tossing the rifles with the fixed bayonnettes around. We were too far back for flash anyway. The two Marine bands played patriotic songs such ans Stars and Stripes Forever, Battle Hymn of the Republic, and the National Anthem. Then the soldiers came out with the 10.5 lb. M-1s and they did a superb silent drill. Kinda made you proud. I will have to take several days to tell you about the trip since I can't fit it all in one day's post. I am proud to be an American.
