Floyd Reclaims Yellow Jersey!
I told you guys not to give up on Floyd! I had heard that he does well in the mountains, and he did well today! Congrats to Floyd on a job well done. Keep up the good work! Floyd has had his health problems too. He fell about a year and a half ago while training and broke the femural neck bone. That is the neck of the leg bone that is connected to the hip. He has pain, and eventually he will have to have surgery, because it hasn't healed so that he is getting the proper blood flow. It is amazing that anyone can ride the course these men do, and to even more amazing that people like Lance and Floyd overcome what they have to be a winner. We are all pulling for Floyd, now aren't we?

well its interesting that Americans are still in a position to win. Were most of the current team teammates of Lance Armstrong?
I'm pulling for him; as long as he stays away from eastern NC; we don't like Floyds around here. Nor do we like Beryls.
Dan, could you rephrase that question? I am not sure what you are asking. Are you asking was Floyd a former teammate of Lance. I believe that he was. Duke, I am sorry you don't like Floyds. I think Wil Rogers had a nice attitude when he said, "I never met a man I didn't like." Does this mean you never liked Floyd, the barber on the Andy Griffith show? That is hard to believe.
Floyd [(Lawson) oh Andy you should have seen it, it was a thing of beauty)] OK
Raymond Floyd= OK, walks funny though
Floyd Patterson= like to watch old films of him, great boxer
Floyd Kramer= never much cared for his music, although I really enjoy watching his cousin Cosmo
Pretty Boy Floyd= all around bad guy, gonna give him thumbs down despite Will Rogers' comment.
Sleepy Floyd= so so on him, pretty good player while at Georgetown, never much more than that:
BUT, and everybody always has a big but, we don't like other things down here named Floyd!
Duke: I had a surprise lunch with the old paratrooper yesterday, and I really didn't know why you had an aversion to the name Floyd until I mentioned to him, and he reminded me that is was Floyd that put Rocky Mount under water. I should have known because I made a mission trip down east with my church in the relief effort.
Good job. If you're interested, we're still cleaning up from Ophelia (05) downeast. There was a large group in here from Michigan last week who stayed at our church. We offer a activity center with cooking facilities, basketball, and bathrooms with showers. We're in the process of formalizing a program by which we can help mission groups "find" our area. In the past it was very casual, we accepted a donation in turn for the use of the church. We hope to ba able to offer different levels of service in the future, such as vesper services, finding the work for them, catering, etc.; and offer this at different fees per participant. our new assistant pastor's wife is heading this up. Let me know if you have a youth group around that might be interested.
