Sad News for Landis

Sorry to hear the sad news, but we must face the truth, and let's hope they got a bad sample, or someone tried to frame him, or something like that. But here is what they are saying about Floyd Landis:

Team says Landis tested positive during Tour de France

LONDON (AP) -- Floyd Landis' stunning Tour de France victory just four days earlier was thrown into question Thursday when his team said he tested positive for high levels of testosterone during the race.

The Phonak team suspended Landis, pending results of the backup "B" sample of his drug test. If Landis is found guilty of doping, he could be stripped of the Tour title, and Spain's Oscar Pereiro would become champion.

It wasn't immediately known when the backup sample will be tested.

Efforts to reach Landis were not immediately successful. But Arlene Landis said her son called Thursday from Europe and told her he had not done anything wrong.

"He said, 'There's no way,"' she said in an interview with The Associated Press at her home in Farmersville, Pa. "I really believe him. I don't think he did anything wrong."

Let's keep pulling for Landis until the B sample results are in. The above article is courtesy of Yahoo Sports.

well, they were willing to accuse Armstrong and those reports proved false, so maybe these will as well.

Let's keep in mind that that deodorant, mouthwash, toothpaste, shaving cream and other personal hygene products are considered contaband to many French. Maybe thats what he test postive on

Another idea that was mentioned on the radio was that he had a high level of testosterone because they were comparing him to the average Frenchman. I heard him say on TV that he has always had a high level of this male hormone, and hey, that sounds like a good thing to me. Landis says this occurred naturally.
