Sunset

Here is a shot I took after noticing how the sun reflected on the jets' trails. Of course, these things always look better when you view them in person. But I just wanted to share this all of you out there in blogland.

Just so we are all clear...Contrails or vapor trails are condensation trails and artificial cirrus clouds made by the exhaust of aircraft engines or wingtip vortices which precipitate a stream of tiny ice crystals in moist, frigid upper air. Being composed of water, the visible white streams are not, in and of themselves, air pollution. However, contrails generated by engine exhaust are inevitably linked with typical fuel combustion pollutants.

I did not write that! Old Paratrooper is responsible for the encyclopedic response. He got it in the same place he found the exact words for Andy Griffith, and it was not in his memory either!

Bev, I thought that was the teacher coming out in you. But thanks for giving credit where credit is due. I have always thought that the old paratrooper is a walking encyclopedia anyway, and I am somewhat surprised that he would resort to plagiarism.
