Flags of Our Fathers
I saw a review of this movie (again on CBS News with Katie Couric) and they interviewed Clint Eastwood. I learned a bit of that campaign by watching that segment. Here again is that most famous shot taken on top of Mount Suribachi. Looks like this is a definite must-see flick.

indeed. the book was good and i cant wait for the movie.
I am thinking that quite possibly Dan the man has read the book as well. Am I right?
Unfortunately, I have not. I do like Clint Eastwood as a director, when I need a shot of utter darkness (kidding to some extent). It'll be interesting to see what he does with a war movie.
